Inegol’s Traditional Meatball (Inegol Kofte)

1 lb lean ground beef
¼ cup bread crumbs
1 big onion, shredded
½ tsp cumin
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tsp baking soda
1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
2-3 stems parsley, finely chopped (optional)
1 tsp salt


Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. And knead for 3-4 minutes to form a stiff mixture. Cover it and leave in the fridge for the night. Then, the next day make finger shape meatballs.
Shallow fry them in a skillet or grill. Make sure that all sides turn to a golden brown color.
You can serve Inegol’s Traditional Meatball with; pilaf, roasted peppers, French fries, kidney bean salad, tomato salad oronion salad and ayran.
